Behind the Design of the Vase

A tireless passion for perfecting the art of mineral crystals. The Vase Gallery creates each vase by hand and with much detail..

It took me years to identify it, months to express it, and hours to articulate it.

-But every minute- I have anxiety.

I know that there is no replacement for the mental health professionals, but I believe in holistic approaches as well.

Everything in life shapes us, but knowing who we are through every change is important. Selfishly, I began investing in everything and everyone to find the outlet that I needed.

At the age of 36, after suffering for so long internally, I felt hungry for that creative outlet and found it in arts and craft ironically with vases. The process of turning Clear Glass Vases into handmade mineral crystal art is so rewarding and fulfilling that for me it's

"beating anxiety with a brush."

So how does your craft help with Anxiety ?

Art is healing...

Choosing the colors help with identifying my current mood while the unpredicted crystal formation keeps my emotions grounded. The time it takes to paint the vase is just enough time for an introduction of my current thought. The time to handcraft each one starts with the thought of human control, but once the colors and everything is mixed together like life- I realize I am Not in control. With this, the slogan became "the one you choose, is the only one in the world," because I cannot make the same again. People often get lost in thought, however as the vase is covered up with the selected color, it places a comma or a period to that thought where one cannot drown. As the process continues the essay of my anxiety is expressed in each part of the design. The finished product is beautiful, which makes me say " there is so much more to life. "

Why Vases?

Honestly, it was destined to be only a vase as I tried all other art platforms and it was not beautiful. The hunger for a creative outlet kept the energy to search around the house and landed on my mother's vases; and the first one was made was beautiful. Then the second, then the third and now we have The Vase Gallery.
